Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Kristy Creatives collects through kristycreatives.com, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

• When you send us a message or ask for a quote: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your organisation if you give it, and what you write. We use it to answer you.
• When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, what you ordered, and how you chose to pay or to complete the order. We use it to prepare, deliver and invoice your order, and to contact you about it.
• If you create an account: your email address, your password (stored in a form we cannot read), your addresses and your past orders, so that you do not have to enter them again.
• If you agree at checkout to a review reminder: we send you one email after your order asking how you liked it. Only if you ticked the box.
• If you write a product review: the name you give, your email address (not shown) and your review, which is shown on the product’s page.
• If you accept analytics cookies: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from and what kind of device they use, through Google Analytics. This does not tell us who you are.

We do not ask for more than we need, and we do not buy information about you from anyone.

Payments

We do not see or store card numbers. When you pay online, the payment is handled by the payment provider you choose (for example Pesapal, or your mobile money provider), under its own privacy policy; we are only told whether the payment succeeded. If you choose to complete your order with us by WhatsApp or email, we arrange payment with you directly.

Cookies

The site uses a few cookies to keep your basket, and others only if you accept them. They are listed in our Cookie Policy, where you can also change your choice.

Who else handles your information

We do not sell your information, and we share it only with those who help us run the shop, and only as far as they need it:

• the company that hosts this website, where orders and messages are stored;
• Google, whose mail service sends the site’s emails, and Google Analytics if you accepted analytics cookies;
• WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us or send your order there;
• the payment provider you pay with;
• whoever delivers your order, who needs your name, address and phone number.

Some of these companies keep information on computers outside Uganda. We may also have to give information to the authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep messages for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and orders for as long as we need them for our accounts and to honour what we sold you. You can ask us to delete your account or your messages at any time; we will, unless we have to keep something by law.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it or delete it, and tell us to stop contacting you. Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 gives you these rights. Write to kristycreatives@gmail.com and we will answer.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and its date.
